Subject choice help from My World of Work
Some great new content has just been launched on My World of Work to help school pupils and parents/carers get to grips with subject choice decisions.
Pupils can use the online Strengths tool to find out more about what they're good at and what that might mean for a career. The content also includes some great tips from pupils, parents and careers advisers on subject choices such as:

Armadale Academy visit to the Chinese Consulate, Edinburgh.
On Friday 18th January Campbell Hornell, Head Teacher Armadale Academy accompanied by Jennifer Young, Principal Teacher Social Studies, Head Girl Emma Brown and Depute Head Boy Matthew Rooney gave a presentation to the Chinese Consul General and Vice Consul on their recent trip to China and Armadale Academy's partner school, Teda No 1 Middle School in Tianjin province. The group were accompanied by Councillor Jim Dixon and Jean Jijun Ye who also went out to China in October last year.
Consul General Li Ruiyou praised Armadale Academy and Councilor Dixon for the excellent work they have done in building the partnership and stated that it fitted well with the Scottish Government's China Strategy which aims to build links between China and Scotland .
Armadale Academy is looking forward to the return trip of Principal Wang from Teda No 1 Middle School in April this year. It is hoped that students from Armadale Academy will take part in an exchange trip in October 2013.
