Senior Woodwind Band

Congratulations to WCHS Senior Wind Band on their mini-tour of the North of England! Their exceptional performance at the National Concert Band Finals at the Sage Centre in Gateshead on 31st March earned them a very well deserved Silver Award.

The pupils, as always, did the school proud as their behaviour and conduct was outstanding. It was really good to see so many parents at the event and the pupils were especially pleased to see Wendy Sutherland as part of the "away" support!

Thanks to Mark Traynor for the many, many hours of tireless, committed and good humoured work with the band to get them to the level of performance they have achieved.
