School Information

Eastertoun Primary School is a co-education, non-denominational school providing education for children aged 4 ½ to 12 ½ years of age.  It is situated in the north-west quarter of Armadale and is one of three primary schools serving the area.  The school was opened in 1960.  An extension was completed in February 2000.

The school is part of the Department of Education, West Lothian Council, Lindsay House, South Bridge Street, Bathgate, EH48 1TS.

 The accommodation of the school comprises the following:- twelve classrooms, one general purpose rooms, teachers' resource area, library, P.E. hall / dining room, kitchen, visiting services / medical room, administrative office, head teacher's room, depute head teacher's room, learning support base. Part of the school is built on two levels with the upper level consisting of two classrooms and a set of boys’ and girls’ toilets. Additional toilets including one adapted for disabled use are located on the ground floor.  This also serves as a gent’s toilet.  A ladies’ toilet is also situated on the ground floor.

 In front of the main building is a football pitch / playing field.  There is also a concreted play area and a "quiet area".

 A wide range of teaching resources is available for staff use.
