Expressive Arts
Expressive arts include art and design, drama, physical education and music. These activities are important element in the curriculum which the children enjoy. They contribute to the all round development of the child.
Music
This includes singing, singing games, playing simple instruments, movement to music, listening to music and illustrating stories with music.
Drama
Dramatic activities range from early dressing-up and role-play situations, dramatising stories and historical events, to the writing and performance of plays. Like other expressive arts, drama provides an opportunity for language development and emotional expression.
Art and Design![]()
In art and design, children have the opportunity to work with a variety of materials – junk, wood, paint, glue, cloth, paper, clay. A balance is found between free expression and the teaching of special techniques.
